Each year, more than 20,000 people attend Cedar Lake Summerfest to celebrate the 4th of July holiday on the shores of this beautiful 800-acre lake. This small-town festival has grown over the years, starting in 1981 with only a town-wide picnic.
Today, the event hosts a wide variety of activities and programs throughout the multi-day festival, and more are added every year! Celebrate Independence Day with the town's 4th of July parade. Test your engineering skills by building a boat for the cardboard boat race. There's also a car show, talent show, ice cream and pie social, game show and a cornhole competition.
Summerfest features all the traditional festival action, too. With carnival rides, food vendors, beer garden, live entertainment and fireworks in addition to all the other activities, Cedar Lake Summerfest is a fun event for all ages.
