Submit an Event
Festivals and events submitted on the calendar must appeal to visitors as well as residents of the South Shore. Please include a detailed description of the event itself, highlighting what attendees can expect and what makes it unique. There is no need to repeat the date, time and location in the description if the form is filled out properly.
The following types of events will NOT be accepted as they do not have visitor appeal:
- Auctions
- Beauty pageants / talent shows
- Business expos
- Garage sales / church bazaars / flea markets
- Conferences / trade shows
- Easter egg hunts / trunk or treats
- Fish fries / spaghetti dinners / pancake breakfasts
- Fund-raising dinners / dances
- Grand openings
- Seminars / workshops / chamber meetings
- Golf outings
- Political events
- Community events that are only open to residents
