Looking for that perfect place to take the whole family for an adventurous day of fun? Look no further than the South Shore for entertaining recreation sure to please every member of the family!
Ninja Kidz Action Park in Hammod is a great place to let the kids burn off some energy on the battle beam, the world's bounciest basketball court, ziplines and more. In Schererville at Up Your Alley, bowling is their main focus with 20 alleys, comfy couches and big-screen TVs. You can also play laser tag, cybersport, arcade games and even try axe throwing! Finish with a drink and some delicious food from Square Roots onsite. Nearby at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park, challenge yourself and friends on the ninja warrior course, or practice your parkour and free climbing. Jump into the Foam Zone or just bounce around with your friends.
At the southern end of Northwest Indiana, Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks is full of interactive activities for all ages, teaching all about how a modern dairy and pig farm works. They also have the Mooville outdoor play area with a 25-foot-tall slide, a 22-foot milk carton to climb and a giant bouncing pillow. And there's a ropes course in the Pig Adventure area. Bellaboo’s Play & Discovery Center in Lake Station is perfect for infants to 9 years old. This play center focuses on learning through STEM, play and imagination with activities indoors and out.
During the summer, kids 12 and under can splash and cool down at the Aquatic Play Center in Hammond. For more places to splash, click here.
