Please note: South Shore Line passengers are advised that federal mask orders will remain in effect mandating the use of masks or face coverings for all SSL passengers and employees.

The South Shore trains travel from South Bend to Millennium Station in Chicago with 20 stations along the way, including local stations in Hammond, Gary and East Chicago.  Parking is free at most stations.  

When you take the train to the Museum Campus/11th Street station in Chicago, you will find yourself by the Field Museum of Natural HistoryAdler PlanetariumShedd Aquarium and Soldier Field - home to the Chicago BearsMillennium Station at Randolph St. in Chicago is near Millennium ParkNavy Pier, the Loop and North Michigan Avenue shopping. For the Museum of Science and Industry, you would get off at the 57th Street station.

5/22-5/28/21 ​Temporary Bussing
Passengers on midday trains will be bused to stations located between Carrol Ave. and Gary Metro Center. No bikes will be transported via bus. Service to Beverly Shores is suspended during busing.
