Together we're #SouthShoreStrong!
What's Open and What's Not
Based on the Governor of Indiana's executive orders, we've put together a list of what's open and closed, as well as local regulations.
This includes the latest information we have on masks, restaurants, outdoor spaces, stores, hotels and more.
Food and Drinks
The South Shore is home to hundreds of amazing restaurants. Right now many have a variety of options for diners including dine-in service, outdoor seating and carryout.
Enjoy the Outdoors
Many outdoor areas are open to enjoy, as long as you keep the recommended six feet apart from others. You can take a hike, go fishing, ride the bike trails and enjoy the beach.
#SouthShoreStrong
Northwest Indiana businesses have stepped it up throughout the area to help out where they can. Restaurants are helping feed medical professionals on the frontline. Stores are showing community support with hand painted signs in their windows. Distilleries are switching to making hand sanitizer. Find these stories and so much more below.
Community Resources
For the thousands currently unemployed and businesses struggling to make ends meet, there are many resources regionally and nationally that you can tap into. We've compiled a list of assistance for individuals and businesses we hope will be helpful during this time.
