Whiting offers a variety of activities from dining and shopping to special events. If you're a history lover, check out the gorgeous Carnegie Building which houses the Whiting Library or the Community Center given as a gift to Whiting by John D. Rockefeller.

And don't forget to catch a movie while in town. The Hoosier Theatre resides downtown and is the only remaining "movie palace" in Northwest Indiana built in 1924 and its interior is a "must see!"

Home to summer concerts, the Whiting Oilmen baseball team and colorful parades, Whiting is the perfect place to find a little bit of everything.

And let's not forget one "little" summer festival that they have every year... the world famous, Pierogi Fest®, which has been featured on Oprah.com, the Travel Channel and the Food Network.
