Ice Skating Rinks

OPEN: Midwest Training and Ice has open skate but requires pre-registration on their website.  Dyer's rink at Northgate Park is open, weather permitting. To confirm rink is open, call 219-865-2505.

Crown Point's Bulldog Park has postponed opening their ice rink and Valparaiso's Central Park is only allowing one hour private rentals of the ice rink. East Chicago's rink is not opening this year. Deep River Waterpark's season ended January 31.

During the summer months, Deep River Waterpark is the perfect place to escape the heat, but in winter, it is transformed into a place to ice skate! The Ice Plaza is open for ice skating Thursday through Sunday from late November through most of February, weather permitting. The concessions and Surf Shop are open as well.

At Midwest Training and Ice Center, enjoy open ice skating indoors all year long. The City of Crown Point has rinks for ice skating and hockey at the Sportsplex. These rinks are open when the ice is frozen solid.
