Crown Point's Nighttime St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Put on your favorite Irish-inspired outfits and head to Crown Point's downtown square for an annual tradition, the nighttime parade, starting at dusk! Enjoy floats, candy, and vehicles all lit up and listen to Pipes and Drums bagpipe players. From 3pm to 9pm, the festivities will also include Shamrock Lane, a seating and vendor area on the lawn of the historic Lake County Courthouse, providing a space for people to enjoy local cuisine before the parade.

Running With the Irish 5k

Whether you want to participate in the 5K run, 1/2 mile Kid’s Fun Run, or the non-competitive Fitness Walk there is active fun for the whole family at Running with the Irish! The course uses paved roads/paths and winds through scenic Indiana Dunes State Park in Chesterton. Park admission is waived for participants. Sign up and learn more here. Lucky Leprechaun Glow Hunt (Ages 4-12)

Schererville Parks brings back their Lucky Leprechaun Glow Hunt! Kids will search the Schererville Community Center lawn under the moonlight with their flashlights to find special four-leaf clovers and more - some containing special prizes! Before the hunt begins, participants will enjoy pizza, dessert, drinks, and a special St Pat's edition craft! Each participant will also receive their own participation prize! The deadline to register is March 4th. Please note - parents must stay.
