Family Attractions

There is plenty of family entertainment in the South Shore to enjoy while your group is here for their meeting. During the summer, Deep River Waterpark offers a wide range of fun, from easy flowing river rides to speed slides at near free-fall. The waterpark makes it affordable for families by offering free parking and a cooler-friendly park. If you are visiting during the winter months, the waterpark is open for ice skating from Thanksgiving through February.

A chocolate waterfall greets you as you enter the home of the World's Best Gummies and Gold Label Chocolates. Albanese Confectionery lets you take a glimpse into the inner workings of their candy factory complete with a factory direct outlet store.

Gabis Arboretum is a 360-acre reserve of formal gardens, woodlands, wetlands, and prairies and includes a Railway Garden the kids will love.

Fair Oaks Farms is the largest dairy farm in the country and it has opened its doors for visitors. Take a bus tour, view a 3D/4D movie, check out the exhibits, or watch a cow being born in the birthing barn. The farm also includes a Pig Adventure and a Crop Adventure to learn other aspects of farming life. For even more family fun be sure to check out activities like "rock" climbing on a milk-bottle and the cheese maze.
