Masks are required on public transportation, as well as in LaPorte County and on national park and state government properties, both inside buildings and in outdoor spaces where you cannot socially distance. Home to the oldest Labor Day Parade in Indiana, Lowell hosts a number of other events and festivals including Buckley Homestead Days, a WWII re-enactment, Cobe Cup Race, and many downtown events on Main Street. 

Lowell's downtown is well-known for its antique and specialty shops housed in the original circa 1890 buildings. There are also numerous casual and fine dining restaurants.

This small town features Buckley Homestead, a living history farm that offers seasonal tours as well as annual festivals for the whole family.
