Check some of our favorite spots in Northwest Indiana to grab a slice or a whole pie!
Pizza Fact: 🍕Gennaro Lombardi, the first Pizzeria in the United States, opened in 1895 in New York City.

Miller Pizza Company
662 1/2 South Lake Street, Miller Beach
This family-owned and operated pizzeria is located in historic Miller Beach right by the beautiful South Shore train station, and fun fact- their building is the original train depot! Miller Pizza Company’s Chicago-style pizzas are made with hand-made dough, the very best mozzarella and their sauce is made fresh with only the best locally sourced herbs & spices.
Get their National Pizza Day special, and check out their daily lunch specials. Monday-Saturday from 11-2 pm you get 2 slices of deep dish & a pop for $8!
Fact: 🍕Over 3 billion pizzas are sold in the USA each year. Add another 1 billion for frozen pizzas.
Tomato Bar
79 US Highway 41, Schererville
2310 LaPorte Ave, Valparaiso
10535 Broadway, Crown Point
This eclectic menu features items that satisfy the cravings of meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans, and those that are gluten-free. Tomato Bar’s fresh dough is tossed to order in an open kitchen because we want you to see the process in action. My personal favorite is the Magic Potion craft pizza, with the Califorian salad, paired with one of their draft or bottled beers.
Fact: 🍕Pepperoni is the most popular pizza at 36% of all pies ordered.
Capri’s Pizza
837 Main St., Schererville
Since 1955, this family-owned and operated spot has been serving the South Chicago and Northwest Indiana area. To this day they are serving the same high-quality pizza recipe that has become Capri’s legacy.
